Crazy Adventures in Parenting: Dryers Don't Dry, They Suck

  • amandag · 2 months ago
Maybe it was the gremlins trying to get in to steal the matching socks.
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
Heh. I blame it on useless Lawn Gnomes.
  • Rhea · 2 months ago
oh no! I've had that happen. It sucks. Hope you got it all cleaned up.
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
Thanks Rhea, mostly cleaned up. We didn't pull it away from the wall, so we never got 100% behind. I know there's still some underneath, and perhaps in hiding, too. Probably won't find it until we move lol
  • Kasey@ All Things Mamma · 2 months ago
    OH my gosh!!!
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
    I know! :(
  • Whitney · 2 months ago
Oh man! Better you than me. I know that was a mess to clean up.
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
It was indeed. Swiffer rocked the house, though.
  • Annie Shultz · 2 months ago
I can't stop re reading and laughing!! I am so glad this happened to you and not me! oh how awful....I hope you get the hooziewhatzit fixed!

this is my fav WW EVER! no contest...this is hilarious. Fuzz fetti....oh no....lol

    Still laughing....
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
You are so cute, thank you Annie! Be careful how hard you laugh, though, it *could* be a dryer sickness ;)
  • Trisha · 2 months ago
We had that happen once. Only it wasn't that bad!
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
Thank goodness yours wasn't that bad. I would hate for the "Dryer Sickness" to be just as bad elsewhere. It wasn't a pretty sight.
  • Cat_3KidsandUs · 2 months ago
Ohhh no! I can't laugh to hard though because that happened to us several times.
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
No, not you too! Damn dryers are staging a coup, I believe. Shall we dub ourselves "Sisters in Fuzz?"
  • Marianna · 2 months ago
    Oh my, what a mess!
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
I believe the dryer had a virus, and vomited. Either that or it staged a rebellion after how many years I've used and abused it with my eleventy-billion kids. I'm not sure which ;)
  • MutheringHeights · 2 months ago
    Oh man!! Not cool!

On the upside, yours is working. My infant and potty training toddler are causing lots of laundry, and we can't get our facilities to work!! :O
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
Oh noes! There must be an ELT somewhere near you, yes? (Emergency Laundry Technician) Need to get his bahookey on down to fix you up! :)
  • tiaras · 2 months ago
    grrrr
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
Let it out, sister. Don't hold back! ;)
  • Honey Mommy · 2 months ago
I can only imagine what a mess that was! Yikes!
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
I have some left over if you want to know first hand? :)
  • MisadventurousMommy · 2 months ago
Oh my, I think I would've had a fit! Hope it wasn't too much of a mess to clean up! Happy (I hope) WW!
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
Unfortunately, it was a freakin' wreck, but it's okay, Swiffer swooped in and saved the day! *cue Super Hero music* ;)
  • Tracie · 2 months ago
I've had that happen before...not fun!!
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
Oh no, not you too! How bad was it, you can talk to me, the pain has got to be gone by now, right? :)
  • MyLittleMiracles · 2 months ago
OMG that is crazy! As if you didn't have enough to do huh?
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
Ah yes, no one ever said dryer fuzz had the greatest of timing, unfortunately :/
  • blueviolet · 2 months ago
I can't even imagine what your expression was when you saw all that lint fuzz!
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
Oh I know! That actually gives me an idea - hidden cameras. Can you imagine how money that would be if they were everywhere? How much blog fodder I would have if I installed those? Straight MONEY, yo!
  • justbeingamum · 2 months ago
Isn't it always the way, things like this always happen when one of your little ones is not well. It is usually the last thing that you need.
It would have been funny at the time though to see all the fuzz everywhere, until it came time to have to clean it up. :(
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
It was. I mean, it was everywhere, it was almost comedic. Of course I had to take a picture. Everything's fair game as a blogger, even my misery. Heh.
  • areebakhalid · 2 months ago
Oh my lord, that looks like one hot mess!
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
Ah yes, it was indeed, sadly :(
  • Rob Babiak · 2 months ago
What is a hooziewhatzit? LOL. Hope everything worked out.
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
Ha! It's the silvery-hosey-thing-a-ma-hoocher on the back that the fuzz USUALLY goes in. I say usually cuz, well, y'know... ;)
  • burgjhbaby · 2 months ago
So did you happen to find my keys in the piles of fluff? Cause I can't find them. ;-)
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
Oh noes! No, my dryer sucks mega-much, but I don't think it stole your keys. Heh. I often blame stuff like that on lawn gnomes.
  • themorrisbunchblog · 2 months ago
    oh man!!! that would SUCK.
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
Oh girl, it sure did. LOL
  • melanieb · 2 months ago
    that totally stinks!
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
    Indeed it does :(
  • Kelly w · 2 months ago
    wow what a mess.
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
It was, but as I said, thank God for Swiffer. Uber quick clean up (and
    my vacuum helped, too) :)
  • wmphimu · 2 months ago
I don't know how we lived before swiffer!!
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
I know!! A dustrag just seems so.... old school. LOL
  • ChaosIsUs · 2 months ago
Yea i know how you feel! Our hooziewhatzit hose is leaking fuzz and needs to be replaced. Fuzz is my enemy!
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
We replace ours every year/year-and-a-half because it begins to build
up, etc. It's such a pain in the rear, isn't it?
  • Petula · 2 months ago
I'm glad you had the Swiffer 'cause dryer fuzz is almost worse than glue.
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 2 months ago
    It is, isn't it?
