I can't write anymore either. Especially cursive. I have to type everything or it just doesn't work.
  • LisaCrazyAdventuresinParenting · 5 months ago
Yes, cursive is faster, but OMG so messy!! It just isn't fast enough.
    Crazy, isn't it?

I was just thinking about this. I used to be the total beatnik coffee shop journal writer. I used to collect notebooks, journals, and pens. I would fill my completed journals like books. I have always had a computer, even in the '90s I had a computer and internet. We got one early, compared to my friends. However, I never relied on blogging for my writing fulfillment like I do now. I always had blogs, but I still wrote in my journals. Well, when we had our ice storm, I had to get my thoughts out. I turned to good ol' writing and I also couldn't do it. LOL. I was sick of how much I had to write what I knew I could type in seconds on my PC. So sad. LOL!

Yes! I've got journals upon journals of writings, and yet now, all of a
sudden, I just can't?! I mean, I try to fill out permission slips or
write notes to the kids' teachers and it's just PAINFUL almost! lol

LOL I've never written in anything but chicken scratch. I even had one teacher complain and say "But you're a girl. Girls are supposed to write neatly." I never had. I had to struggle in elementary school and work my ass off to get a "S" in handwriting. That damned "E" was always so elusive.

I used to write alright, I was an artist and had great control over the
writing implement because I was. However now, while I can still draw, I
can't write because it just isn't fast enough. I can write nice, but
unless I want to think in a remedial way, waiting while my hand catches
up with my thoughts, writing is UGH, unless it's a brief signature or a
    check or something. GAH!

When I was 14-18, I wrote for a magazine in the paper each week and it was before the net and all that so I remember typing everything on a typewriter and having to drive to the paper to drop it off. That makes me feel not only old, but accomplished lol. My ring finger on my right hand has a permanent dent from all the pens as a kid. I have issues.

I recall being in college typing up term papers on my word processor!
lol God, where does the time go?? LOL

LOL! Too funny! I had to fill out some forms the other day and thought, dang it! My hand hurts! And I've only written one page, and it took me 15 minutes! This sucks!

Ha! Yes! I feel the same at the beginning of school with all my kids,
    one sheet each! Ouch!
  • UPrinting · 5 months ago
I feel that sometimes too! But I still enjoy writing more than typing.
Still... it's soooo much easier to type, right?!

So much FASTER! ;) It's great to be able to respond to you with this new
comment system. I truly appreciate all the comments you leave. You're
    awesome, you know that? :)

I'm looking to make a business cards order, but I'm not sure where to
start. What would you suggest I do? Its for BlogHer and its for this
    blog. Any suggestions?

I completely know what you mean! I can't write nearly as fast as I think, and end up skipping words and misspelling thing all over the place. And the pen just feels funny in my hand! It's so strange.

    YES! Exactly!!
