I remember being in the readiness center as we prepared for my husband's tour. I, too, am sickened to my core. As always, all miitary families are in my prayers, but most especially today, the Fort Hood families -- military and civilian.

Re: The Aftermath of Fort Hood

I can not begin to fathom the fear this must instill in your an all military families. I've never experienced anything to that degree, but I was in the Air Force during Desert Storm. War stress alone is bad enough without having to worry about what's going to happen on the base by your own. Very sad situation. Take care... love, hugs and prayers.

Re: The Aftermath of Fort Hood

Completely and utterly tragic...

Re: The Aftermath of Fort Hood

What a well written post, it sums up how I feel also. I too am just shocked, saddened, sickened, etc. It does hit very close to home. Sad it took an event like this, but I hope now the military wakes up to the need for mental health care for everyone since the shooter had undergone counseling before.

Re: The Aftermath of Fort Hood

Our thoughts are with you all here in Australia, we heard it on the news this morning, and terrible news it was.
